If you downloaded Publication 3, Armed Forces' Tax Guide, please be advised the list under "The Afghanistan area" has changed. Filers should rely on this update for the changes described, which will be incorporated into the next revision of the publication. The following countries in Publication 3, under "The Afghanistan area" are no longer certified by the Department of Defense for combat zone tax benefits. The Imminent Danger Pay (IDP) was discontinued on May 31, 2014, for the following countries:
- Tajikistan,
- Uzbekistan
- Krygyzstan
